Ed Hunsinger

I'm Ed Hunsinger, a 28-year-old East Coast native who now calls San Francisco home.

I can't remember using a cell phone that wasn't a Sidekick and I've been a Sidekick user and part of the online community for years.

I'm responsible for multiple Sidekick-fan websites and you may also know me as "divinity" on the poweredbydanger.com forums.

When I'm not sitting in front of the computer, I'm probably out playing with fire as part of Interpretive Arson, a Bay Area based group of fire artists. I'm a seasoned traveler who loves new places, music, photography, and desert camping.

Favorite Sidekick? The Midnight Blue LX.

  • The VIP Winners in Chicago

On the tour bus in Chicago I got a chance to chat with the VIP winner, Valerie Rodriguez. She’s a make-up artist in Chicago, and a pretty good one too based on her own make-up. She explained that she had entered the VIP contest after receiving a text message from T-Mobile. She thought she’d never win it, but was bored at work so she figured she’d give it a try. For her couple of minutes of trouble, she got a new Sidekick LX, a chance to meet the artists, free food and drinks, a ride on the T-Mobile Sidekick bus, and two tickets to the show. She and her boyfriend Needlez, an Italian rapper from Chicago that you should check out on MySpace, had more wristbands than I did! They had a blast at the show and joined us for the after party at The Underground. It’s a good thing too because Needlez was able to help Glen, the musician/Sidekick bus driver, find the club while maneuvering the giant bus through the city streets of Chicago.

We pulled up to The Underground and walked right in since the bouncer quickly figured out who we were with the giant bus and all. I felt like I was in some sort of movie as we walked down the stairs into a room filled with dancing bodies and thumping bass. The picture above is VIP Valerie, dancing. (Note to self, remember to get better pictures while partying) The rest of the night is a blur of private tables, good music, beautiful people dancing, and lots of fun. In the wee hours of the morning we ended up heading out, leaving the bumping club to continue on through the night. (Can you believe Chicago parties till 4am? You guys are hardcore) I piled into the car with the Cobra Snake and the rest of the T-Mobile crew and we headed back to the hotel. There was talk of hitting up the Rock & Roll McDonalds on the way, but it was late and we figured they were closed. Guess we’ll have to drive-thru the next time T-Mobile parties in Chicago!

Back at the hotel it was crash time as everybody had flights to catch in the morning. I sank into bed and drifted off to sleep with a smile on my face. It’s a good thing it’s the weekend now, cause I need some rest before New York!
